What we need from you

Four things, shared at setup before the project starts.

  1. Your substances

The substance you want to replace and the alternatives you’re considering, by name and CAS number. Without a shortlist, Foresight can suggest candidates that do the same job.

  2. Your markets

Where the finished product is sold, down to the US states with their own chemical laws.

  3. Your priorities

What matters most, such as a market that already restricts the substance or a customer asking for a change.

  4. Your approver

The person who agrees the checks and approves the screen.

What teams ask about this project

How do you screen each alternative?

Foresight checks each candidate against every agreed measure where you sell, including group rules as well as named substances. Washington’s limit for vinyl flooring covers any ortho-phthalate, so DPHP fails there although no rule names it.

Why flag an alternative that passes every rule today?

Because a proposal open today can become a restriction after the new formulation launches. TXIB has no harmonised classification, but Norway has proposed classifying it for reproductive toxicity and as an endocrine disruptor. The screen shows where each proposal stands, so your team decides with it in view.

Where does the evidence come from?

From the measures themselves: the regulations, the official lists and the regulators’ own records of each process. Every verdict links to its source, so your team can check the wording directly.

Who checks the screen before we use it?

The person you name. They agree the checks before screening starts, and check the verdicts against their sources at the end. Nothing is final until they approve it. These checks reduce the risk of error without removing it.

What happens when a rule changes?

Foresight rechecks the cells it affects, such as when a classification opinion or a proposed rule moves. The screen your expert approved stays as it is until they accept the change.

What does it cost?

The price follows the screen’s size: how many candidates and markets it covers. You see it with the scope, before any screening starts.
