Monitoring watches the rules behind your notifications. When one moves, Foresight rechecks the mixtures it affects, and your expert reviews the change.

Watching 3 measures behind the register

  • CLP Article 45 and Annex VIII, as revised in 2024

  • CLP Annex VI harmonised classifications

The 22nd adaptation made acetone oxime Carc. 1B from 1 May 2026. Rechecked, neither alkyd uses it, so no status moves.

What we need from you

Four things, shared at setup before the project starts.

  1. Your mixtures

Your mixtures, with their formulations and safety data sheets, and those of their raw materials.

  2. Your markets

Where each mixture is sold, and whether consumers, professionals or industrial sites use it.

  3. Your planned changes

The reformulations, new trade names and launches coming up, so each update is ready before the product ships.

  4. Your approver

The person who agrees the scope and approves each submission.

What teams ask about this project

Which of our mixtures need a notification?

In the EU, every mixture classified for health or physical hazards, whether it’s for consumers, professionals or industrial sites. Notifications made under the old national systems stopped counting on 1 January 2025. Great Britain revoked Annex VIII at the end of 2023, so there the NPIS takes your safety data sheets voluntarily, free of charge.

When does a notification need an update?

Before the changed product goes on sale, whenever its trade name, UFI or classification changes, new toxicological information arrives, or its composition moves beyond what the submission allows: a component added, removed or swapped, or a concentration outside its range. Most composition changes also need a new UFI, and so new labels.

What about colours we tint in store?

A paint tinted to order at the point of sale can go without its own notification and UFI. Its label then carries the UFI of each notified mixture in it above 0.1%, such as the base or a colourant, in descending order, with the concentration of any above 5%.

Who checks the notifications before they’re submitted?

The person you name. They agree each mixture’s use and markets before any notification is prepared, and check every status against its source at the end: the section of CLP behind it, or the NPIS’s guidance for Great Britain. Nothing is submitted until they approve it. These checks reduce the risk of error without removing it.

What happens when a rule changes?

Foresight rechecks the mixtures it affects, such as when an update trigger or a component’s classification changes. The register your expert approved stays as it is until they accept the change.

What does it cost?

The price follows how many mixtures and markets the notifications cover. You see it with the scope, before any notification is prepared.
