🚫 EPA Finalises TCE and PCE Bans

On December 9, 2024, the EPA issued final TSCA rules banning all consumer and most industrial uses of trichloroethylene (TCE) and perchloroethylene (PCE), while mandating stringent workplace protections for any limited, ongoing applications. TCE’s transition includes phased timelines for critical defense and aerospace uses, while PCE’s provisions include a 10-year phaseout of dry cleaning uses and encouragement of safer substitutes.
