Updates have also been made to the guidelines around reusing upholstered domestic seating containing POPs, with a specific focus on:
Waste vs. Non-Waste Items: Guidance on determining whether an upholstered seating item is considered waste or non-waste and if it contains POPs.Refurbishment Requirements: The section on refurbishing upholstered domestic seating has been updated to provide clear requirements for refurbishing waste seating. This ensures that any seating being refurbished adheres to strict environmental and health regulations.
