The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has issued an urgent notice regarding the regulation of biocides within Great Britain. This notice includes essential deadlines for the renewal of active substances under the GB Biocidal Products Regulation (GB BPR), distinct from the EU counterpart. The notice also addresses an upcoming non-approval decision for a specific active substance.
To ensure continued market presence, stakeholders must submit renewal applications for active substances 550 days before their current approval expires. The upcoming deadlines are pivotal for several active substances across various product types, specifically:
